Massachusetts State Government
The web site for the Massachusetts state government, and I mean all of it.  The site contains links to all of the state's agencies and branches of government, general information, and news items. 
 
Attorney General of Massachusetts
An easy to navigate site that contains information, publications, and advisories on numerous consumer, civil, elder, and health issues.  For questions about labor laws, hourly wages, and overtime, click on "Workplace" in the left margin.  You can also call the Fair Labor Hotline at 617-727-3465. 
 
 
Secretary of the Commonwealth
 
Many useful links to such resources as the Citizen Information Service, Registry of Deeds, and the State Bookstore.
 
 
 
Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation
A great site with information on the Lemon Law, Do Not Call Registry, and the Home Improvement Law.  There is also a Consumer Hotline and a section devoted to tips on drafting a Chapter 93A Demand Letter, the nuclear bomb of weapons for consumers who are not represented by an attorney.  (Click on 'How to resolve a consumer problem' in the Online Services section, then '30 Day Demand Letter.')

Federal Courts in Massachusetts
This is the link to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the federal appeals court for Massachusetts. From here you can click on the "Court Links" to get to the U.S. District Court (trial court) and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.

The MassLegal Network
 The MassLegal Network is a collaborative project of the civil legal aid community of Massachusetts.  This site contains a list of legal aid services in the state, answers to frequently asked questions, and general information about various areas of the law (e.g., Consumer and Family Law).
 
 
 
Massachusetts Law Reform Institute
A nonprofit legal services support group for low-income, minority, and elderly residents.  The site contains useful information, links, and a list of the Institute's publications and manuals dealing with Massachusetts law.
 
 
Children's Law Center of Massachusetts
The Children's Law Center is a private, non-profit, legal advocacy and resource center serving low income children in Massachusetts.  The Site includes links and educational material.
 
 
 
Neighborhood Legal Services
This site contains information about many areas of Massachusetts law, including housing, family, and employment law.  You can also find forms for use at the state's courts or for communicating with state agencies.
 
 
 
Greater Boston Real Estate Board
An advocate for the real estate industry, the Board's site contains helpful information and publications for those who own or manage real estate in Massachusetts.
 
 
 
Massachusetts Office of Dispute Resolution
Full of information about methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR"), such as arbitration and mediation. 
 
 
 
Massachusetts Document Retrieval
This is a private service that charges a fee to help customers retrieve a variety of vital records (such as birth certificates, death certificates, etc.).  You can do your own research and obtain the same documents by clicking on the Massachusetts State Government link above.  Type "vital records" into the search engine in the upper right corner.  Then click on the Quick Link to the Registry of Vital Records.  Finally, scroll down till you find "Registry of Vital Records" in the right hand margin.
 
 
 
Legal Information Institute
This service of Cornell Law School is especially useful for those who want to learn the ins and outs of case law, legal research, and citation.  The site includes links to Massachusetts case law (decisions of our state courts).

Funeral Consumers Alliance
