I have a corporation in NH and I am thinking of expanding into MA. We sell Solar Energy systems through independent sales people. Once they sell a system we have the equipment drop shipped to the location and hire contractors to install the equipment. Do I need to register to do business in the state ?
Thanks
ANdy

You do need to register to do business in MA
A foreign corporation (from another state) must file a certificate of registration within 10 days after it starts to transact business in the commonwealth. A certificate of legal existence or good standing issued by an authorized officer or agency in the jurisdiction of organization shall accompany the certificate of registration. M.G.L.A. c156D § 15.03 (2004); 950 CMR 113.48.
