I have had water damage inside my unit multiple times due to the Assoc. failure to repair faulty roof . The Associations insurance company has paid the Assoc. for Ins. claim. Last time I was able to get estimates for the board and hire a contractor that I felt comfortable with working in my home as I am a single woman with a baby. Do I have the right to hire a contractor and have the association pay out what they have already received from ins. co. Or do I have to allow whoever they decide to work inside my home?
