The township is terminating my water service. I have not received prior notification they just posted notice to my door saying i had 12 days to pay it. I thought i was to get at least 2 other prior notices. They refuse to allow a payment plan stating it was to late
to make an agreement. I am being told that i must pay in person with the exact amount due.
I reached out to several area churches trying to offer baked goods to the church group to raise the money. I had postive response and agreement for my cakes to be bought was made.
This helped me earn 60 towards my bill. One of the churches offered me 150.00 no strings attached. The pastor of the church contacted the township authority and they refused to accept the 150.000 saying that no partial pay ment allowed not even from a local church. He was finally able to agree to have them even accept the check once the full amount was raised . since they allow no checks. My question is this i wanted to know if i have a right to ask for a hearing, I was viewing a website that said you can request a hearing to dispute the termination since ample time or prior warning was not given. If this is true how do i go about the request for a hearing? as i am still short of the full amount by $90.00 the termination is tomorrow morning 10 am
I believe the township is strict
with the policy because they want to collect the extra money they get for turning it on again they charge $60.00 turn on fee.
