MA Criminal Law (Traffic Violations/Defense) Questions and Answers

What exactly are our rights in defending our property from vandals?

1. Is the gun law here in Massachusetts only allow us to use it when our life is in danger or can we also use it to defend our property?

2. If the gun is not applicable, do I have the right to restrain the person vandalizing my property?

3. If number 1 and 2 doesn't work, do I just call the police and stand idly by while the person destroys my property?

4. What are your suggestions in handling a situation like this?
