Who pays for work uniforms
You can follow this link for some information about employees paying for cleaning work uniforms. As far as I know, there is no Massachusetts law that prohibits an employer from requiring employees to purchase uniforms. With regard to dry cleaning, unless the cost of cleaning the uniform causes your pay to dip below the minimum wage established by Massachusetts, your employer can require you to pay for it.

I understand that the minimum wage stat does not apply to my situation, although I am wondering if I find the exact style, color and texture of the uniform at a lower price through a different distributor am I still obligated to use my employers distributor even though there price is dramatically higher?
