I have 2 Children with different mothers, the oldest is from a marriage but the divorce is finalized, and the youngest was out of wedlock, but there is a child support and visitation order.

I was told that if I were to go for, and be granted joint physical custody of the children that I wouldn't have to pay child support to the mother's since the child would be spending equal time in both homes, is this correct?

If not, is it possible to get a reduction that falls below the state guidlines so the amounts are not so high?? After child support, insurance, and taxes are removed from my check I am left with less than $100 a week to survive off of, which includes having to support my children when they are with me.

Also, would a schedule such as Thursday 6pm to Sunday 6pm be considered enough time for Joint physical custody?
