Statute of limitations in MA for workers compensation injury?

I saw in another of your answers that the statute of limitations for an injury claim in Massachusetts is three years. Is it the same rule for an injury that happens at your job or is there another statute of limitations for workers compensation claims? I was injured on the job while loading a truck about three months ago. Thanks.

Workers compensation statute of limitations

Yes, the statute of limitation for injury claims is generally three years in Massachusetts.  However, the statute of limitations for workers compensation claims in Massachusetts is four years.  In any case, there is absolutely no reason for you to wait to pursue your claim.  Also, depending on the circumstances of your case (whether you missed work days, for example), there may be other deadlines and requirements that you should be aware of.  You should contact a Massachusetts injury lawyer ASAP, perhaps one who specializes in workers compensation claims.  Good luck.
