I'm wondering how long I have to file a claim against a previous landlord who never returned security deposit or sent me a letter stating any damage, that would of altered my security deposit? He also never sent me anything stating what bank the deposit was in or any of the interest. I lived there from Dec 1999-May 2006. I sent two separate requests by certified mail to the landlord and he never accepted them. So, they were returned to me unopened. I don't have current contact info for the landlord and the address I had back then was a post office box. Thanks in advance for the help!

Statute of limitations for security deposit
The statute of limitations for contract claims in Massachusetts, both oral and written, is six years.
Thanks for the info! So does
Thanks for the info! So does that mean 6 years from the date I moved out? Meaning I could still try to recover this security deposit?
