Squatters rights in Massachusetts?

There's a house in my neighborhood that has been abandoned for several years. I've never seen anyone there. There is no issue of problems with upkeep and there is no lawn to mow or anything. I was wondering if a person could somehow claim squatter's rights to the house if they moved in and cleaned it up and took care to the property. I guess they would add value to the house and make it a better place. Is that kind of think legal in Massachusetts?

Squatters rights

No.  The house belongs to someone or to some entity.  You cannot take away another's property merely by moving in and caring for it.  Now, if you were to live in the house for twenty years, you might be able to assert a claim for adverse possession of the property.
