Small Claims from Divorce Agreement

I my divorce was made Absolute in 2009. Part of the divorce agreement was both me and my ex-wife had to split the balance due on our car that was repossed (approx $8,000 was owed).

Since then I have made the payments to cover my half of what was owed on the car, she hasn't made a single payment. The loan was taken out in her name but I was the co-signer, so it continues to damage my credit.

If I were to pay the bank the half she owes on the car, can I sue her for the money. I realize I could probably take her to probate for contempt of the order but from my experience theres really no decent result in that...

Would the court most likely allow me to move forward with a lawsuit against her for the balance if I pay it off??
