I was served a 14-day Notice to Quit due to non-payment. I have always paid my rent on time, and this was served in error (and the Mgt Co. agreed it was an error). Am I entitled to any damages due to this? (maybe a slander issue?) I had company over when the Constable came to my door and served me).
I want out of this lease because of this, and other problems here but the Mgmt Co. is saying that I have to pay a 2-month "break-the-lease fee" to get out.
Is that legal?
Thanks for your help.
