Seat belts for cdl drivers

A friend was driving yesterday and saw this flashing sign on the highway. Cdl drivers get ready to buckle up

Has ma law changed or is there a new regulation for cdl drivers requiring them to wear seat belts?

seat belts

The regulations about seat belt use aren't tied so much to the license classification as the type of vehicle. The main cut off for commercial trucks in this respect is 18000 lbs. So any CDL driver operating a commercial vehicle that weighs less than 18k lbs technically would have to wear a seat belt (assuming they weren't exempted by one of the other exceptions to the seatbelt law). The law is here: http://www.malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleXIV/Chapter90/S....

It doesn't look like there have been any significant recent changes to this law in other words.
