Hi,
I could not find anything regarding this issue after some hours of research
My Private schools gym is shared with 2 other schools. The gym has No A/C unit and only one fan. Today it was a recorded temperate of 92 degrees ( not including the heat index, I would estimate around 100 degrees) inside the gym.

I have asked the Fitness Center "Manager" repeatedly for more fans or some sort of A/C unit. He says the A/c cant fit in teh budget and that another fan wouldnt be supported by the electrical outlets (keep in mind he has 2 plasmas and 3 computer running).

Is there any sort of action besides a student petition that I could take in order to help future students get A/C( Iam in my 6th and final year, finally...)

Thank you for any help,

Chris

I don't believe there is a Massachusetts law that would require the gym to install air conditioning.  If you (or, more likely, your school) can take any action it would likely be based on some contractual obligation that is owed by the gym.  In other words, the gym may be obligated to maintain the facility in a certain, specified way.  I would talk to your school administration about the issue.  Good luck.
