I guess I know the answer to this one but I want to make sure. I started a job about six weeks ago working in a distribution center. The job is not that hard but I'm needing a little time to figure it out and my boss is forever yelling at me in front of other employees about how I messed up something or need to do something differently. It's getting so i don't want to go in to work but this is my first job out of high school and I don't want to mess it up. Is there anything I can do legally about this? Thanks.

Legal action against boss

Sorry about your situation.  Having a bad boss is not fun, but it happens to all of us at some point.  The answer to your question is no.  I can't think of any legal remedy that you can (or should) try to pursue.  I'm assuming you are an at will employee, meaning you can be fired for any legal reason.  So, if you want to keep the job, you will need to figure out how to work with your boss.  You could try talking to him after work.  Explain that you know you have a lot to learn about the job and ask him for some patience.  If that doesn't work, you might think about finding a new job.  If the guy is an a**, it's not likely he will change.  Your graduation was not that long ago, and this is a tough economy, so I don't think other employees would be worried about the small gap in your employment history.  Good luck.
