Last month, I was driving to get my daughter from school and I was suprisingly pulled over (since I wasnt speeding or anything) and the officer asked for my license and reg, and I gave both. As I was handing it he said he doesnt need to see it I got pulle dover for unregistered to get out of the car its being towed. I was shocked and shaken, i have never had anything like this is my life. I told him that cant be right cuase I had the new sticker on the back of the car and the new reg in hand, He said it came back as the payment didnt go through and we were "red flaged " they wanted their plates. I didnt know what to do since I had no idea it was revoked, so I called my husband to get me , they towed my car and took my plates. The next morning we went to the regestry and took care of the issue and then went and paid a rediculous amount to get my car out. I thought it was all set them since he only gave me a warning since he said " well good news your insurance is active and no issue" . Just the registration mix up. So here I am checking my mail and ther eis a criminal summmons for uninsured and unregistered!! I flipped out , 1st my insurance has alwasysss been fine and the cop even verified that and the warning says so too .. but now on the summons it says uninsured and for unregistered. I could see if I didnt take care of the issue , but I sorted it within 24hours. Why am I being treated like some scumbag. Im mortified and dont know waht to do. Any suggestions?
