Grantor of IR trust received parcel of land in return for transaction. Deed is into the trust. Beneficiary wishes to explore selling land to cease re taxes levied. What issues should be researched by the trustees with regards to the trust documents, the deed, etc.? Trustees wish to do as much research on their own, re: should the deed be transferred to the beneficiary, or would the trustees selling the land be better? Broad answer is ok, trustees would like a good starting-off point to get up to speed before possibly hiring an attorney.
