A week after closing my mortgage broker call saying his commission was short $2700 and I need to pay it. Do I have to? To follow up more, I asked my attorney if the settlement statement conformed to the lenders closing instructions and was it reviewed before closing. I did not get a good answer only sometimes mistakes are made. Yesterday I spoke to the lender and they said all was in order and have already passed the loan to another lender. I am still getting calls from the broker.
