I had my ch 7 bankruptcy discharged in September of this year. I just found out my investment property that I included in my bankruptcy was improperly foreclosed on in 2007 and was granted back to me with a special warranty deed in November of this year.(I found out the day before thanksgiving). The problem is the mortgage and all personal liability including the payment on that mortgage was discharged. They contacted me as a curtsy to let me know they are just going to reforeclose properly, but due to the discharge and the fact that the prices in Boston tanked(purchased the property for 305k in 2005) now its probably worth 125k. I wouldn't mind a loan mod for what the property is worth. what options do I have now?
