pesticide

My landlord wants to spray pesticide in my apartment. I understand that the landlord is responsible to keep the (multi-unit) building free of insects, however there are no insects (at all) in my apartment. The landlord stated that another unit had the insect problem, and they wanted to spray all adjacent apartment.

I don't want myself, my cat, or my possessions to be exposed to pesticide. Does the landlord need my consent to do this, or can she do this over my objections ?
