I was just curious if you've heard of anyone in Massachusetts filing a personal injury law suit against Toyota because of the sticky accelerator thing. I've been following the story and I think that some of these cases, like the guy in California with the Prius, are bogus. I also don't understand why people don't just put the car in neutral and cruise to the side of the road.

Yes, actually. The family of a Medford woman is suing Toyota on a wrongful death claim, claiming the crash of her 2010 Camry was the result of Toyota's negligence. The 47 year-old woman, her husband (driving) and two children were trying to exit route 93 South in Medford when, allegedly, the car took off and smashed into guard rails.
While I agree with you that some of the reported incidents seem a bit suspicious, there does seem to be, in my uneducated opinion, something amiss with the accelerator on some of Toyota's cars. Let's hope they have the problem figured out. To post additional questions, visit our Massachusetts Personal Injury Discussion Forum.
