I was given a ticket for passing a school van. The van was pulled over to the side of the road in a parking space in front of another car (therefore making the rear of the van unable to be seen). The flashing lights on top of the bus were NOT on and there was NO stop sign extending from the bus. How can I be given a ticket when the van did not put on its flashing lights on top of the van? As I approached it looked like a parked van and there was no way to tell from the rear of the van ....what are the laws concerning getting a ticket for this when the bus driver does not put on his/her flashing lights?

Challenging a ticket in MA
If the lights were not blinking, then there was no offense. You need to follow the same procedure you would follow for challenging a speeding ticket. Go to court and make your case. Good luck.
