It's allowed, but I would not recommend it. The problem is the potential for a conflict of interest. The other party (driver of the second car) may try to show that your cousin, the driver, was partially at fault. In that case, the attorney may be required to withdraw from representing one or both of his clients, leading to confusion and delay while you find a different attorney.
