Is there any Massachusetts law or U.S. law that requires my mother (lives in Massachusetts) to give me my social security card when I turn 18? She says she's keeping it. Thanks.

Social Security Card
I do not know if there is a specific law that requires your mother to give you your social security card upon turning age 18. Even if she refuses, you can simply walk into your local Social Security office and request a new card. Attorney Steve Ciulla.
Editor's Response
I agree with Attorney Ciulla. You can follow this link for more information about replacing lost social security cards. The thread also has some local addresses and phone numbers for the Social Security Administration. Good luck.
