My daughter came to Boston to pursue higher studies on student visa from India. She completed Graduation and joined as OPT. She had a stroke when she went to Middletown, Connecticut on private visit and was admitted in the Hospital thereat. She was having only student insurance. After 10 days hospitalisation, she was sent to Southhealth Rehab at Ludlow. After about 4 weeks rehab she is being discharged. She had to have physio-therapy as outpatient. Since she is on OPT, employer insurance is not available. The entire insurance amount was exhausted. The application submitted to Medicare was rejected. Is there any way out for getting medical assistance. She has been staying in MA for the last two and half years only. Guidance/Advice is urgently needed.
