We married in September 2009. Several weeks later my wife decided this was not going to work. We went to counseling for several months, but she decided to walk away and left in January 2010.
We have both been in contact and are proceeding jointly toward divorce. We have sold joint personal items, splitting the proceeds, we have separated accounts and essentially agreed to a split of all assets. Not much really, some joint cash, a car, apartment possessions, no kids.
Is it possible to file for a 1A, submitting an agreement and joint petition, without an attorney - or a real low cost attorney review?

Sorry about your situation, but at least you are able to work together at this tough time. Yes it is possible to file on your own. You might also consider divorce mediation, someone who can help you come to an agreement while considering the interests of both parties. If you decide to go without attorneys, both the MassLegalHelp site and the Massachusetts Trial Court Law Libraries site have many useful resources regarding divorce in MA. Good luck.
