This morning i was scheduled to open the store with a manager at 7am. I walk 20 minutes to arrive at work 10 minutes early. At 7am the manager hasnt arrived so i wait until 7:30am and there is still no manager. i do not have the managers phone number and have been waiting outside in the cold for 40 minutes in front of the store not including my walk. I then left and walked home. i went home and went back to sleep figuring i waited long enough. Then i receive a phone call and voicemail telling me that if i dont show up i am getting fired. Can they fire me by law or did i wait long enough?
