I live in a country where prescription drugs are VERY cheap compared to what you have to pay in the states. Anyhow, my parents pay an exorbitant amount on their medicine, and I was considering sending them drugs for what is 1/5th of the cost.
The medicines are not especially controlled (Celebrex), and are actually non-prescription here. They're also name brand and from hospitals, so I'm 100% sure of their authenticity. Everything is 100% legal from my end.
So if I send my parents small amounts (2-3 months supplies) of drugs that ARE prescription in the States, am I breaking any laws? It seems that the federal government leaves it up the the state to regulate such a thing. Since the drugs are so cheap, I wouldn't ask my parents for a penny, so it's a completely non-commercial transaction.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it.
