I understand the attorney-client privilege, but my parents paid for my attorney so does that mean she can talk to them about my case? I told my parents a different story than what really happened.

Editor's Response
No, it does not matter who pays for your attorney. Under MA criminal law and the attorney's code of professional conduct, what you say to your attorney about your case is privileged, and she can not divulge it to other parties without your permission. I encourage you to be completely honest with your attorney so she can represent you effectively. Good luck, and please tell your friends about The Forum.
