MA Criminal Law (Traffic Violations/Defense) Questions and Answers

I got a ticket a month ago in my home town, I sent it in for an appeal...and i get a letter from the DMV Saying i owe them 170 becuase i didnt pay the ticket...and sayign my license is going to be suspended because i have 7 surchargeable events in the last 3 years because of this ticket...I sent it in for an appeal but it must have gotten lost in the mail or something??? I recently had a insurance check get lost in the mail aswell...the insurance company had to over night me a new one. Any way my question is what do i do about this...i cant loose my license im in the middle of buying a house, and my fiance and i are expecting..
