landlord put snow removal as tenants responsibility

My landlord in his new and updates lease now put that tenant is responsable for keeping sidewalk, and all entrances to apt clean of debris and snow...... now what happens if i get hurt while snow shoveling or picking up debris who is responisble for this?? is there anything that backs up the tenant if he or she gets hurt while performing this task?? thank you
