Strip search at work
No, it is not legal. It is important to remember that, on the job, in addition to being bound by the many regulations and laws that regulate the employee and employer relationship in Massachusetts, an employer is still bound by all of the other laws and responsibilities that we all live under. For example, if an employer pushes or hits an employee, she may face criminal charges and civil liability for assault and battery. Similarly, an employer who actually strip searches an employee may face civil liability as well as criminal liability. Your friend should probably talk to the police and/or an attorney. Hope that help.
