Do I need a permit? Can I be arrested if I don't have one? I'm located in Greenfield if that makes any difference.

Editor's Response
There is an important United States Supreme Court decision dealing with this issue. In the 1992 case of Forsyth County v. Nationalist Movement, The Court said that cities and towns may, without violating our right of assembly, require permits for anyone wishing to hold a parade or rally or other public event. That said, you will need to check with the powers that be in Greenfield to see if they have such a requirement on the books. Good luck.
