how to show apartment to prospective tenants when current tenant won't answer phone to agree to times to show it
I've written to a tenant to ask them to move out July 31 as her section 8 voucher is decreasing from 4BR to 3BR. She won't pick up a certified letter, won't respond to phone calls and hasn't paid her portion of June's rent. I had tried to send a letter to her also re: noise complaints and have left phone messages on her cell phone. The Housing office sent her a letter that she must pay or she is in violation of her lease and could lose her voucher. The Housing office did not offer suggestions to me though about how to enter her apartment to show it to potential tenants. I would like to get her permission to show it on the weekend. I don't want to use my key to walk in and find perhaps just one of her teenage daughters there. I am concerned that she may later say she did not give permission for Access. Any advice? Thanks.
