I'm already getting SSDI but I need to know how often the Social Security Administration will review my case to see if I should still get benefits. I'm nervous about losing the benefits. Thanks

That depends on how severe your disability is and whether the Social Security Administration classifies it as the type of condition that is expected to improve. If it does, then the SSA will likely review your case 6 to 18 months after your benefits start. If the SSA does not expect rapid improvement, your review will not happen for at least three years. You should review your award notice because that document will explain when the SSA intends to conduct its first review.
Also, keep in mind that even if the SSA reviews your case and decides to terminate your benefits, you can appeal that decision.
