Long story, short: I think I have a claim under the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act. If the merchant ignores my claim what, exactly, will I have to show or do at court to get my money back.

Editor's Response
Section 9 of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93A spells it out for you. To prevail in court you will have to show that: (1) you sent an appropriate 30-day demand letter to the merchant, and that the merchant did not respond to the letter in a meaningful way; (2) you are a 'consumer' (a person who entered the subject transaction primarily for personal or household purposes); (3) the merchant's acts were 'unfair' or 'deceptive'; and (4) the merchant's actions resulted in a "loss or money or property, real or personal."
Visit this posting for more information about what unfair and deceptive means. Good luck
