I was arrested for OUI and think I might lose my license. My friend told me Massachusetts law will still allow me to drive to work. Is that so?

Editor's Response

Maybe.  Massachusetts law allows the RMV to issue what is known as a hardship or work license in some cases.  This limited license allows those with revoked licenses to drive for up to 12 hours a day for going to and from work. Usually, the RMV will require some period of suspension before a person can apply for a hardship license, and the length of this period will vary depending on the reason for the revocation of the license.
