Regrettably approx 25 yrs ago ended up with a guilty finding stemming from a motor vehicle accident in MA. Live with this each and every day wishing I could turn back time. Having come from a long line of sportsman I sincerely miss my gun ownership rights. Having led an excellent life since, got the record about 3-4 yrs ago sealed, is there any chance I would ever regain a license to carry in MA. Is it even worth pursuing and in what respect? Would it be worthwhile to retain an attorney regarding this?

My understanding is that, short of obtaining a pardon, both federal and Massachusetts law make in very difficult for convicted felons to obtain a license. Having said that, this is clearly not my area of specialty. However, if you Google "Massachusetts gun rights attorney" you will find several lawyers who specialize in these matters. I'm sure a five minute phone conversation would help you decide if there is any chance of getting your license.
