Hello,

My two roommates and I have yet to sign the lease for our apartment, but we would like to back out of the agreement for a variety of reasons. First of all, the real estate agent has been incredibly unprofessional and difficult to deal with after we agreed on the apartment. Furthermore, he said that pets were allowed and that he would change the carpets, but a draft of the lease indicated no such thing. Lastly, we just feel ripped off.

Granted, we probably shouldn't have rushed into things, but this is our first experience as renters and we obviously didn't do enough to inform ourselves.

We signed an agreement saying that we couldn't get our security deposit back in the event that we back out.

Is there absolutely any way under MA real estate law, that we can get our $1100 back?

Thank you.
