I'm getting ready to hire my first employee and I am wondering if there is a website or telephone number to call to see if there is a booklet that outlines what my responsibilities are. For example, how many days vacation do I have to offer, do I have to offer health insurance, 401K, paid/unpaid sick time etc... What if I need to fire them? What are the steps before I can do so. I suppose what are my rights, and what are the employee rights?
I've been looking on websites and through older posts and have been getting bits and pieces, but would really like something more concrete and complete.
