My husband's employer requires him to wear uniforms to work daily. A uniform company supplies the uniforms, picks them up for cleaning and returns a new set each week. My husband's employer deducts a uniform fee from his paycheck weekly as a partial cost of supplying the uniforms. Is this legal?
From what I had read of the Massachusetts employment laws (and I am certainly not an attorney), I got the impression that the employer could not charge an employee if they were requiring the employee to wear the uniform. Could you please clarify this for me. Thanks!

It sounds like your husband is paying for cleaning of the uniforms. You can follow this link for more information, but I believe employers can require employees to pay for cleaning uniforms.
