Do I have to wait 60 days to file a new claim for SSDI?

I tried applying for SSDI on my own and I think I messed the whole thing up. Instead of appealing with the mess I made I thought I should just reapply and use a lawyer this time. Do I have to wait 60 days to file a new claim? Thanks very much.

Re-aaply for Social Security Disability Insurance

No, you do not. You may be confusing this issue with the deadline to file an appeal for SSDI.  However, if you want to file a new claim, you can do that the very day you receive your original denial of benefits.  However, if you plan on hiring a disability lawyer anyway, why not let her review your current claim and help you decide if you should appeal or file a new claim?  Good luck.
