Disability SSDI before conviction of crime or prison

hello. My son is in jail and waiting for his trial for fraud. So is it legal for him to keep getting his Social Security disability check or does he have to tell the Social security administration about his arrest so they can stop making his disability payments? Thank you for your help.

I'll assume the alleged fraud has nothing to do with his Social Security benefits.  He should continue to receive the disability benefits unless he is convicted of a felony.

In the event of a conviction, he can request that his disability benefits be reinstated after he serves his time in prison
