Disability plate or placard from another state

I spend six or more months of the year in another state and have a disability placard that I use there. Can I use that placard in Massachusetts or do I have to apply for another placard or plate to use here? Thanks.

Editor's Response

Yes, you can use your out-of state disability placard or plate in Massachusetts.  According to the Registry of Motor Vehicles, the law requires Massachusetts cities and towns to recognize placards or plates from other states.  The Registry cites Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 22.  For more information about disability placards and plates, check out the RMV's website.
