Denied SSDI because my mother and father give me money?

I'm waiting to hear about my social security disability benefits and I was very honest on my application. Now I'm worried because my mother and father have been giving me a few hundred dollars each month to help me pay the bills etc. Is that going to a problem or cause me to be denied for SSDI benefits? Thanks.

SSDI and gifts from relatives

No, you can take money from relatives or friends without jeopardizing your eligibility for SSDI benefits.  You can accept money, food, clothes or housing.  Unlike SSI, SSDI is not needs based.  Your eligibility is based on your ability to work and your work history.  Good luck.
