Hello,

During the heavy rain today, I was traveling 20mph in a school zone as required. The car in the left lane(I was in the right lane) had its turn signal on to take a left, and the car behind it had stopped. I kept going, and failed to notice the crossing guard until I had driven over the crosswalk.

The crossing guard was only on the other side of the road, and her view was completely obstructed by the car taking a left. I was pulled over and given a very expensive ticket.

I am planning on appealing, but what are my chances of winning? I did not see the crossing guard at all, as the other car was blocking her completely. The policeman insisted she was in the middle of the street. This is truly false.

Thank you!
