Condominium association right to enter unit

Does a Property Manager have the right to enter a unit owners property to check on leaks without the unit owners consent? I'm being asked to monitor a unit over the winter by a group of trustees in a Massachusetts Condo Association? Is there somewhere I can find the legal information? Have looked through Mass Law governing condos.. Thanks for your help. Rich

Editor's Response

My understanding of the law in Massachusetts on this issue (and please correct me if you discover contrary information) is that the condominium association or its agents can only enter a unit in accordance with the condominium documents, such as the bylaws.  So, for example, if the bylaws may give the association the right to enter the unit in certain specified situations, such as in an emergency.  In other cases, I would obtain written permission from the unit owner before entering.

Great.. Thank you so much..
