I have a 6-year old daugther, and I want to divorce my husband, and I really want the custody right for my baby.
The issue is that I once had gambling problem, and still on debt, because my husband drank too much and didn't care about me at all, I quitted for a while, and earning much more than my husband,do you think that I could be the primary caregiver for my little one?

Custody
Without knowing specifics about your situation it is hard to predict the likely outcome of a Judge's order. The legal standard is best interests of the child. Generally the parent that is awarded primary custody is the primary caretaker. Although you admit to having past issues, your present circumstances will be the focus of the Judge's order. I suggest you talk to a Massachusetts family law attorney to discuss your matter.
