my case started out in NH but once I moved to MASS and he moved to mass I changed it to the mass courts. I am having problems with payments on my kids misc INS from there father and want to reopen it up in mass for contempt, but he has since moved to NH. so my question is can he change the court house now that he is in NH? NH courts are much easier on him and i would rather keep it in MASS. But knowing him he will tell the judge he know lives in NH and wants to have it transfered back.

Contempt case in MA divorce

It sounds like you are trying to enforce a court order issued by a Massachusetts court.  In cases where one party disobeys a court order, the partying seeking to enforce the order (you) must go to the family court that actually issued the order and file a complaint for contempt.   If the court had jurisdiction over your divorce in the first place, he cannot "move" the case to New Hampshire.  You should probably talk to a Massachusetts divorce lawyer about this matter.  Good luck.

contempt case in MA divorce

sorry i think you misunderstood, my whole case was done in NH courts but when i moved here to mass and he was not paying child support i opened the case in mass due to the fact we bothed lived in mass now. but he has since moved to NH and i want to reopen my case in mass because its Kid related but i think he will try to say he now lives in NH and wants the case back in NH even though the courts have been dealing with it for 7yrs now. so because it started in NH do i have to go back there or can I continue to keep it open in Mass now that they have heard the child support cases? this is related to INS problems he isnt paying.
