Chance of getting approval if exact or equal match found in the listing of impairments?

Hello,

According to your previous posting Disability benefits and how SSA determines whether I'm "disabled", it looks like there are
five steps to determine someone's disability.

I am able to match my disease in the listing of impairments. Does that mean the determination process will stop at step #3?

Also, does this indicate that I will have a good chance of getting approval for the SSDI without hiring an attorney?

Thanks you.

Editor's Response

No.  The SSA will perform the five step analysis for all applicants.  Because of that, and because each case is unique, I cannot predict if you will be awarded benefits with or without the help of a Massachusetts disability attorney.  Good luck.
